In response to the growing need for a low-cost, “single parameter” optical measurement system in a smart sonde, YSI has released the 600 Optical Monitoring System (OMS). The 600 OMS, developed from the 600 platform (1.6 inch diameter), can measure turbidity, chlorophyll, or rhodamine1 in combination with temperature, conductivity, and depth or vented level in fresh, sea or polluted water.
